Do you ever struggle with something and feel like you’re just spinning your wheels?
Let’s take diet for example: Maybe you’ve felt like you’re obsessed with food, thoughts of food, what you “should” and “shouldn’t” be eating, when you should be eating and what you should be eating only to feel like you are spinning your wheels and not really getting anywhere or worse, going backwards and spiraling out of control, slowly descending into despair and depression? I hear this A LOT and I assure you, you are NOT alone.
One of my favorite quotes is by Michael Beckwith, who said:
“Pain pushes. Vision pulls.”
It’s a general principle but can be applied to our health and state of wellness when we apply it to the age old paradox: We need our physical body as a vehicle to experience this life and express ourselves and our spirit.
Therefore we need to make sure we understand the Laws of Nature and how to properly maintain our physical vehicle, however if we get too caught up this material level, we cannot aspire to the higher energetic levels of being which include our bigger vision and soul purpose which in turn is THE ULTIMATE MOTIVATOR.
This is what I call “The Pull” and it is much, MUCH more powerful than “The Push”, which is at the level of the “should”, the struggle, the deprivation and involves fighting the self. A house divided cannot stand.
Therefore my suggestion to end the continual struggle and frustration is to start by FINDING YOUR PULL and then go from there.
