There is a very common reason why I see a lot of people not lose weight when they workout and it has to do with the way these people “think” about exercise (which then affects how they do it).
To actually lose weight when you exercise, you have to think of exercise as a way to “burn sugar” instead of just “burning calories” because it is when you burn through the circulating sugar in your blood FIRST is when you can then get to burning your fat stores and this is when your body composition changes.
And to do that you need to get the intensity up!
So what does that mean?
If you want to burn fat with exercise: Think: “Hard and Short”, not “Low and Slow”.
Short, high-energy bursts of effort require sugar for fuel. With the exception of my Yin Yoga and Guided Meditation classes, all of my workouts like my Vixen, ZUMBA and Strength Circuits classes involve intense energy bursts to get the heart rate UP and metabolism going! We do intervals of high-intensity moves with lower intensity sprinkled in to result in a complete whole-body, fat-burning workout.
This format has kept me fit for DECADES and along with my really great, personalized diet and my easy healthy lifestyle habits, has prevented me from regaining the extra weight I had struggled with all my life.
With a little bit of the RIGHT knowledge, you CAN have the body and life you want…I know because I did it and I want to help you do it too.
So I hope you give it a try. And let me know…
