Join Me in the Magical and Mysterious World of Myth in 2021!šŸŽ©

Over the past year and a half, I’ve been intensely studying the world of the psyche, mind and spirit and how they affect our lives.

This has led me down the magical and mysterious world of myths and the collective human unconscious and how these forces affect our lives.

If you are not aware of what myths are and their immense POWER to influence our experiences, you might want to be – particularly because, like gravity, myths are affecting us all the time -whether we are aware of it , understand it, or not; so it seems like it would be a good idea to have a basic understand of myth and include it in our awareness, don’t you think?!

WHAT ARE MYTHS?

Myths are “clues to the spiritual potentialities of the human life” and transcend time, space and cultures. Thus they affect all of humanity in a profound way.

One of the most famous American mythologists, writer and lecturer Joseph Campbell, (who coined the phrase: “Follow your bliss” by the way), was also responsible for creating the concept of the “Monomyth”: the one myth, which sees all mythic narratives as variations of a single great story.

Campbell’s theory of the Monomyth is based on the observation that a common pattern exists beneath the narrative elements of most great myths, regardless of their origin or time of creation.

This is where we come in and what I wanted to share with you today.

In anticipation of the New Year, my long-time friend and mentor, Paul Chek and I did a lot of work to tap into our unconscious to see what my personal myth for my life was and then we both painted it to see what came through from our Higher Selves.

The most amazing thing was that, once completed, we both realized that my myth was also indeed also the Monomyth of the collective that we are ALL experiencing now!!

This paining that you are looking at is the result of Paul’s version of that myth. (My painting/version is not done yet and I will be sharing soon!)

It is my hope that you will open your mind, heart and spirit as you look upon it and let your imagination and Higher Self take over and then see what comes up!

ENJOY – and let me know what you come up with! šŸ˜‰

HERE IS PAUL’S EXPLANATION OF THE PAINTING:

Amy is sitting in meditation facing the sun šŸŒž as the water or ā€œRiver of Lifeā€. The polarities of positive: Right and Pegasus (or “Aspareus”as she calls her), represents her mythic powers and the trees are the guardians of her people’s domain; they are the healers of the planet šŸŒŽ

The left side of center represents the mixed polarities of good and evil: The jackal symbolizes Diablo/the Devil; Pegasus, who she calls “Aspareus” represents Unconditional Love ā¤ļø The moon represents the feminine and self-reflection. The central sun represents the Divine SUN or Source Energy and Intelligence: God experiencing the Truth of itself through It’s Dream or Maya.
