The 5 Top Traits of Fit People: Secrets of Those Who KEEP the Weight Off

We all know people who’ve lost weight but then eventually gain it back at some point later. Actually, that’s MOST people (!) but have you ever wondered what separates those who lose weight and keep it off from those who don’t?

I did some research and I’ve narrowed it down to THE 5 TOP TRAITS OF FIT PEOPLE.

Here are some of the things they do:

1. Fit people don’t mind getting sweaty because they know it indicates they are burning calories, increasing their metabolism and detoxing! (It’s amazing to me how many people actually have told me they “don’t like to sweat!”)

2. Fit people don’t focus on feelings of discomfort that can come when feeling challenging physical symptoms (like burning lungs from running up a hill or sore glutes from a great leg workout), because they know that any temporary discomfort is just the body changing and is ultimately part of reaching their goal!

3. Fit people focus on the outcome they want to achieve on days they don’t feel like it. We ALL have days we want to blow it off or just go through the drive-thru rather than exercising or taking the time to make a healthy meal. Truth is, there are many times the only thing that prevents fit people from succumbing to excuses, justifications or laziness, is simply focusing on the fact that they know they will feel better after! So they set their resolve on this, rather than thinking about all the reasons they shouldn’t do it.

4. Fit people do not regard the choices they make with their diets as a “sacrifice” because they remember the reward is having a fit, trim and sexy body. Likewise they don’t feel resentful or deprived when abstaining from low quality, unhealthy, unnatural, sugar-filled or otherwise fast or junk food but rather they feel EMPOWERED by their choices and self-love!

5. Fit people make working out and prioritizing their diet a part of their LIFE – their lifestyle – and their personal identity. The healthy habits, routines, behaviors and ways of thinking and living just become a part of who they are and no-brainers which makes things ultimately a lot easier because it removes the wasted energy of a lot of indecision and guilt!

I hope this helps! …and if you’ve got any of your own, LMK! 🙂
