WOW!! It’s hard for me to believe, but this week marks the 1 year anniversary of my podcast, Awakening Aphrodite! 🎙and I’ll let you in on a little secret…
I never intended to have my own podcast!!
Now that I do came as a SURPRISE not only to you but me too!
So I thought I’d share with you how “taking the leap” without seeing the net (or the bottom for that matter!) turned out to be a good thing.
About a year ago, in October 2020, once the pandemic lock-downs where clearly not going away any time soon, I knew I had to pivot my business and come up with a creative, effective, inspiring and fun way for me to share my love, self and work with the world. I’m an avid, (borderline obsessive!) learner, and I thus had been listening to podcasts for some time. So on a fluke, I came across an online course that helps people start their own podcasts.
I figured that this would be a great in-the-trenches opportunity for me to explore what the world of podcasting was all about and then be able to make an informed decision if in fact it was for me. Needless to say, the course was much more rigorous than I anticipated and one of the requirements of passing the course was to…GASP!…actually produce and publish 3 episodes – to my horror! So I did, and let’s just say the rest was history!
But you know what? Something came alive in me and I found I LOVED connecting with you, the listener, and my expert guests on on the show in a real, intimate and honest level. I also found it was also a beautiful and convenient way for me to keep expanding my own body, mind, spirit and learning and evolution as well as share my love and soul with the world.🌍
So there you have it.
I wanted to share with you the inside scoop with the hopes that maybe it might give you some ideas or encourage you to TRY THAT NEW (SCARY) THING you were interested in!
TAKE AWAY MESSAGE: Dream. Explore. Don’t be afraid to change your mind, and above all, never be afraid to proceed even when you have uncertainty and doubt, because so often life is uncertain but you never know what might blossom as a result! 🌼
