2. Why I Chose the Name of This Podcast: Awakening Aphrodite

Welcome to my first episode where I explain why and how I chose the name for this show!

*Be sure to listen all the way to the end of the show where I share a key quote about how the feminine is the true strength. 😉

I chose the word “Awakening” because it has always been intriguing and compelling to me because it implies the bringing to the surface something that is ALREADY within us – something that is perhaps forgotten or has gotten buried for some reason. It’s time to bring it back into consciousness!

And I chose the word “Aphrodite” because she is the ultimate archetype of the Divine Feminine! She is the famous Greek mythical Goddess of Passion, Beauty, Sensuality, Creativity and most of all, Love. Known by the Romans as Venus, she is the most revered and powerful of all Goddesses and her magnetism was said to be irresistible to ALL Gods, Goddesses and mortals (with the exception of three Goddesses).

Although she was the female Eros essence, and the life force itself, Aphrodite was also a FORCE! She was a fierce Protector, Creator and ruled victory and prosperity for people. 

Most of all, Aphrodite apologetically and unabashedly  OWNED her power, her gifts and her desire and ability to meet her needs. As women, we have a lot to learn from her on how to prioritize our own self-care (without guilt!), how to love ourselves better and how to bring more joy, laughter and pleasure into our lives. 

So if you want to fully and powerfully embody and love every ounce of your body and your Self, you are in the right place. This show is about learning how to do this better for ourselves so we can more fully, completely and brilliantly shine in our own unique, authentic magnificence.
